16 / 60 page  2001 Microchip Technology Inc. DS30374D-page 11 PICDEM 2 USER’S GUIDE 12 Chapter 4. A/D Demo The a2d.asm program is a simple implementation of the analog-to-digital (A/D) converter. The program reads A/D channel 0 and displays the results on the LEDs connected to PORTB. If the potentiometer is turned all the way clockwise, all of the LEDs are off. If the potentiometer is turned all the way counter-clockwise, all of the LEDs are turned on. The program is interrupt driven, i.e., the program sits in an infinite loop until the A/D converter interrupts when the conversion is complete and then updates the values on the PORTB LEDs.
