The value of the C1 and C2 capacitors may vary based on the application requirements and source
of supply voltage. The C1 and C2 capacitors must be placed close to the pin.
2.3.2
Master Clear (MCLR) Pin
The MCLR pin works as a device Reset.
Pulling the MCLR pin low generates a device Reset. The basic connection and interface diagram of
the module illustrates a typical MCLR circuit. See the Module Basic Connection and Interface Diagram
in the Basic Connection Requirement from Related Links.

Note: 
1. The capacitor can be sized to prevent unintentional Resets from brief glitches or to extend the
device Reset period during POR.

2.3.3
Device Firmware Update
The WINCS02 Module is available for purchase with pre-programmed firmware. Microchip
periodically releases the firmware to fix reported issues or to implement the latest feature support.
There are two ways to perform a regular firmware update:
1. Serial DFU command-based update over UART
2. Host-assisted Over-the-Air (OTA) update
Note: For the serial DFU and OTA programming guidance, refer to the WINCS02 Application
Developer’s Guide.
