Brief Description of 4N35


The 4N35 is an optocoupler or opto-isolator device that consists of a light-emitting diode (LED) and a photodetector (phototransistor or photodarlington) in a single package. It is designed to provide electrical isolation between its input (LED side) and output (photodetector side). Here are some key features and specifications of the 4N35 optocoupler:

Type: Optocoupler (also known as opto-isolator or opto-coupler).

Isolation Voltage:

The 4N35 provides electrical isolation between the input and output sides, helping to protect sensitive components from high voltages.
Input (LED) Forward Voltage:

The voltage required to forward bias the LED and generate light.
Output (Photodetector) Collector-Emitter Voltage:

The maximum voltage that can be applied between the collector and emitter of the photodetector without causing breakdown.
