42 / 72 page  FEDL9059E-01 LAPIS Semiconductor ML9059E 42/72 DESCRIPTIONS OF OPERATION Display ON/OFF (Write) This is the command for controlling the turning on or off the LCD panel. The LCD display is turned on when a “1” is written in bit DB0 and is turned off when a “0” is written in this bit. A0 DB7 DB6 DB5 DB4 DB3 DB2 DB1 DB0 Display ON 0 1 0 1 0 1 1 1 1 Display OFF 0 1 0 1 0 1 1 1 0 Display Start Line Set (Write) This command specifies the display starting line address in the display data RAM. Normally, the topmost line in the display is specified using the display start line set command. It is possible to scroll the display screen by dynamically changing the address using the display start line set command.
