31 / 76 page  26 Application Notes—Photoconductive Cells APPLICATION NOTE #7 How to Specify a Low Cost Photocell Sometimes the demands of the application such as power dissipation, “on” resistance, voltage, temperature coefficient, etc. limit the selection of the photocell to one particular device. However, more common is the case where any number of photocell types can be used, especially if minor changes are undertaken at an early enough point in the circuit design. In these cases, price is often the deciding factor. Many factors influence price. In order to give some guidance and weight to these factors the reader is referred to the following table which is meant to serve as a general guide.
