Serial Number String Length Register Field Descriptions (continued) Bit Field Type Reset Description 5 serNumStringLen[5] R/RW 0 Serial number string length The string length in bytes for the serial number string. The default value is 18h indicating that a 24-byte serial number string is supported. The maximum string length is 32 bytes. When the customSernum bit is set to 1, this field may be overwritten by the contents of an attached EEPROM or by an SMBus host.
