These registers are described in Figure 12 and Table 4. POINTER REGISTER Figure 12 shows the internal register structure of the TMP411-Q1. The 8-bit Pointer Register is used to address a given data register. The Pointer Register identifies which of the data registers should respond to a read or write command on the two-wire bus. This register is set with every write command. A write command must be issued to set the proper value in the Pointer Register before executing a read command. Table 4 describes the pointer address of the registers available in the TMP411-Q1. Please note read pointer address 0x05, 0x07, 0x19, and 0x20 have different power-on-reset values for A, B, C vs D.
