These bits are write disable bits. When these bits are read out, the values are “0.” R— Indeterminate 8.10.1 Block Display There are 2 display modes and they are selected by a block unit. The display modes are selected by bits 0 to 2 of block i control register (i = 1, 2). The features of each mode are described below. There are an extended display mode. This mode allows multiple lines (3 lines or more) to be displayed on the screen by interrupting the display each time one line is displayed and rewriting data in the block for which display is terminated by software.
