60 / 120 page  MB90330A Series 60 8. Extended I/O serial interface The extended I/O serial interface is a serial I/O interface in an 8-bit, single-channel, capable of clock synchronous data transfer. LSB-first or MSB-first transfer mode can be selected for data transfer. There are 2 serial I/O operation modes available: • Internal shift clock mode: Transfer data in synchronization with the internal clock. • External shift clock mode: Transfer data in synchronization with the clock supplied via the external pin (SCK).
