WF = 0: 16-line AC drive WF = 1: two-frame AC drive In two-frame AC drive, the WF period is twice the frame period. In 16-line AC drive, WF inverts every 16 lines. Although 16-line AC drive gives a more readable display, horizontal lines may appear when using high LCD drive voltages or at high viewing angles. 8.2.1.9. FY Sets the vertical character size. The height in pixels is equal to FY + 1. FY can range from 00 to 0FH inclusive. Set FY to zero (vertical size equals one) when in graphics mode. Table 4. C/R Sets the address range covered by one display line, that is, the number of characters less one, multiplied by the number of horizontal bytes per character. C/R can range from 0 to 239. For example, if the character width is 10 pixels, then the address range is equal to twice the number of characters, less 2. See Section 16.1.1 for the calculation of C/R. [C/R] cannot be set to a value greater than the address range. It can, however, be set smaller than the address range, in which case the excess display area is blank.
