TI’s customers are responsible for determining suitability of components for their purposes, as well as validating and testing their design implementation to confirm system functionality. 9.1 Application Information Typically, a comparator compares either a single signal to a reference, or to two differnt signals. Many users take advantage of the open-drain output to drive the comparison logic output to a logic voltage level to an MCU or logic device. The wide supply range and high voltage capability makes LMx39 or LM2901x optimal for level shifting to a higher or lower voltage. 9.2 Typical Application + LM2901 VLOGIC VSUP Vref Vin + LM2901 Vin- Vin+ Rpullup Rpullup VLOGIC VSUP C L C L Figure 9-1. If temperature operation is above or below 25°C the VICR can range from 0 V to VCC– 2 V. This limits the input voltage range to as high as VCC– 2 V and as low as 0 V. Operation outside of this range can yield incorrect comparisons. www.ti.com LM139, LM239, LM339, LM339B, LM139A, LM239A LM339A, LM2901B, LM2901, LM2901AV, LM2901V SLCS006V – OCTOBER 1979 – REVISED DECEMBER 2022 Copyright © 2022 Texas Instruments Incorporated Submit Document Feedback 23 Product Folder Links: LM139 LM239 LM339 LM339B LM139A LM239A LM339A LM2901B LM2901 LM2901AV LM2901V |
