8.2.2 Application with Basic/Minimal Operation

The LP8866S-Q1 needs only a few external components for basic functionality if material cost and PCB area for

a solution need to be minimized. In this example LP8866S-Q1 is configured with external components and no

I2C communication. The power-line FET is removed, as is input current sensing. Internal charge pump is not

used, and all external synchronization functions and special features are disabled. The 33-µF Al-polymer

electrolytic capacitor is removed for PCB area and height limitation. And boost external compensation is used to

compensate the removal of the 33-µF Al-polymer electrolytic capacitor.
