The I/O ports consist of four SFR registers, one for each port, plus four other SFR registers

for each port direction, and the I/O port interface. The SFR register for each port is an 8-bit

register, which can be addressed at the SFR location for that port.

GPIO[12:0] are shared by port0[7:0] and port1[4:0] of both MCUs. The MCU access

permissions are controlled by register configuration.

Port3 and Port4 of the MCU are used for internal special data handles.
