The INDF Register is not a physical register. Any instruction accessing the INDF register can actually access the register pointed by FSRH and FSRL Register. Reading the INDF register itself indirectly (FSRH and FSRL=”0x00”) will read 0x00. Writing to the INDF register indirectly results in a no-operation (although status bits may be affected). Example 2.1: INDIRECT ADDRESSING Register file 0x148 contains the value 0x10 Register file 0x149 contains the value 0x0A Load the value 0x148 into the FSRH and FSRL Register A read of the INDF Register will return the value of 0x10 Increment the value of the FSRL Register by one (@FSRH and FSRL=0x149) A read of the INDF register now will return the value of 0x0A.
