The LIS331DL is a MEMS motion sensor with 3-axis ±2g/±8g smart digital output "nano" accelerometer.
It operates on a supply voltage of 2.16V to 3.6V and has a power consumption of <1mW.
The sensor features I2C/SPI digital output interface, programmable interrupt generator, embedded click and double click recognition, free-fall and motion detection, high pass filter, and self-test.
It is designed for applications such as free-fall detection, motion activated functions, gaming and virtual reality input devices, and vibration monitoring and compensation.
The sensor is available in a plastic Land Grid Array package and is guaranteed to operate over an extended temperature range from -40°C to +85°C.
